A visiting Ph.D. student, Kristian Nakić from the University of Split, will join Ivan Mijakovic’s lab, under co-supervision of Zhejian Cao. Kristian will work on green synthesis of nanoparticles for bioapplications.

One master project/internship/thesis oppotunitie is avaliable now on antibacterial coating Background Antibiotic resistance is regarded as one of the biggest threats to global health according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

A new master project student, Wengeng Gao, has joined the us. Wengeng will be working on mechanical simulation for antibacterial coatings during the summer period 2024.

Nihal defended his master’s thesis with the title of “Biodegradable metal-organic frameworks composites as antifouling coating”. After the Master program, Nihal will start a new position at Northvolt.

Nihal participated Science and Technology Day 2023 and annual conference of CARe (Centre for Antibiotic Resistance Research) with the poster “Save the Boat!”

A new master internship student, Lucas SARRAMONNE, has joined the us. Lucas will be working on MOF dor drug delivery during the summer period 2023.

A new master thesis student, Nihal Kottan, has joined the us. Nihal will be working on bactericidal MOF coatings during the Spring 2023 semester.
